Finding a label you can reach safely

Use the machine’s documentation to locate its identifying label; there isn’t one position that applies to every snowblower. Don’t tip, run or dismantle the machine to reach it.

The snowblower, its engine and a battery platform can carry different identifying information. Say which label you photographed. If you’re unsure, include a wider view with the close-up so the repair person can see where it was.

Keep the full label in the picture

Avoid cropping out numbers because you’re unsure whether they matter. Make the label readable and include the surrounding text. If it’s worn or inaccessible, tell the person you call what you could and couldn’t find.

Those details are especially useful before choosing a replacement part. A similar-looking machine or a familiar badge isn’t enough to confirm the same component fits.
